For the Donda 2 album release in Miami, Busy Boy teamed up with Benjamin Gordon to develop a system to show Kanye West’s heartbeat in realtime for the hours leading up to the show. Within two weeks we developed a system using a Bluetooth heartrate monitor that would let us take a performers BPM and get it to a custom API with very little latency. The API was able to get the bpm information to the crew running the Ableton live project in the arena as well as to a custom streaming server that fed out to a dozen IMAX theaters all over the country.
